Life has taught me that success doesn’t come from perfection—it comes from resilience, growth, staying curious and being authentically you.
I’ve learned that the most important thing we can do is to keep moving forward, even when the road feels uncertain.
That’s how I mentor students: to believe in their personal power, embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow, and to stay focused on the vision they have for their future.
Since I was 12, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I wanted to be the teacher whose classroom kids ran TO, not AWAY from.
Little did I know, this calling to teach was written into my genes! It wasn't until much later in life, I realized that came from a bloodline of great educators and leaders.
When I was 33 years old, I had the great honor of meeting my Grandmother - Dee Disheau. I quickly learned she had a degree in special education (like myself). She was a force to be reckoned with as she forged new approaches to working with highly intelligent students. She was given the award of Top Educator - North York Educator of the Year in 1988 as recognition for her pioneering education strategies.
She taught me that there is no one way to teach and coach everyone. The magic comes from working with youth to empower them and help them discover themselves as individuals; who they are, what they want and how they best learn.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who guided me along the way. Mentors who saw my potential were instrumental in shaping my path - even when I couldn’t see it myself. But it wasn’t just the people who believed in me—it was also the challenges and failures that taught me more than any textbook ever could.
I learned to take criticism and turn it into my superpower, using every setback as a stepping stone toward my dreams. Those experiences and the transformations of hundreds of students I’ve supported are what I bring to Ready4Launch: the understanding that personal growth is a lifelong process, and the belief that every teen has the ability to shape their own future.

At the core of everything I do is the belief that every teen has the power to create the life they want when they're taught an effective skill set. My role is to help them see the power within themselves. I also believe that this process isn’t just for your teen—it’s for you, too. As a parent, your role evolves as your teen grows, and I’m here to support you through that evolution. Together, we can help your teen feel empowered, confident, and ready to take on the next chapter of their life.
