Life has taught me that success isn’t built through perfection—or having every answer. It grows through resilience, self-awareness, curiosity and the courage to keep moving forward, even when the path feels uncertain.
That’s what I want young people to experience. I help them understand who they are, build the skills to navigate challenges, and recognize that uncertainty doesn’t mean they’re stuck—it means there is still a future waiting to be shaped.
My approach brings encouragement together with practical, grounded guidance so young people can take purposeful steps toward a future that fits who they are—not simply the path they think they are supposed to follow.

Since I was 12, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I wanted to be the teacher whose classroom kids ran TO, not AWAY from.
Little did I know, this calling to teach was written into my genes! It wasn't until much later in life, I realized that came from a bloodline of great educators and leaders.
When I was 33 years old, I had the great honor of meeting my Grandmother - Dee Disheau. I quickly learned she had a degree in special education (like myself). She was a force to be reckoned with as she forged new approaches to working with highly intelligent students. She was given the award of Top Educator - North York Educator of the Year in 1988 as recognition for her pioneering education strategies.
She taught me that there is no one way to teach and coach everyone. The magic comes from working with youth to empower them and help them discover themselves as individuals; who they are, what they want and how they best learn.

A free community that is Ideal for parents of high school students, or educators, who want thoughtful insights, useful resources, and timely support as you help your teen navigate school, motivation, future planning, and life beyond high school.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who guided me along the way. Mentors who saw my potential were instrumental in shaping my path - even when I couldn’t see it myself. But it wasn’t just the people who believed in me—it was also the challenges and failures that taught me more than any textbook ever could.
I learned to take criticism and turn it into my superpower, using every setback as a stepping stone toward my dreams. Those experiences and the transformations of hundreds of students I’ve supported are what I bring to Ready4Launch: the understanding that personal growth is a lifelong process, and the belief that every teen has the ability to shape their own future.
Life has taught me that success doesn’t come from perfection—it comes from resilience, growth, staying curious and being authentically you.
The most important thing we can do is to keep moving forward, even when the road feels uncertain. That’s how I mentor students: to embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow, and to stay focused on the vision they have for their future.

At the core of everything I do is a belief I have carried throughout my career: young people are capable of far more than they sometimes believe they are.
Sometimes they need skills. Sometimes they need strategy. Sometimes they need someone to challenge the story they’ve started telling themselves about what they can or cannot do. And sometimes they simply need someone in their corner who refuses to stop seeing their potential.
My role is not to choose their future for them. It is to help them discover their strengths, build the confidence and practical skills to navigate what comes next, and begin believing that they have what it takes to shape a future of their own.
Whether I’m coaching a young person, supporting a family, creating resources for educators, or speaking to a room full of people, I want people to leave feeling seen, energized and more capable of taking their next step.
I also believe that this process isn’t just for your teen—it’s for you, too. As a parent, your role evolves as your teen grows, and I’m here to support you through that evolution. Together, we can help your teen feel empowered, confident, and ready to take on the next chapter of their life.
